Majority stake
US$6,000,000
The figures are shown as ranges and the business is not named, because it is being sold confidentially. The audited accounts, the registered name and the full investor memo are released once the seller agrees to it.
Enquiring needs an account, and the seller reads what you write before deciding what to release. Nothing is charged for it. If you would rather talk to WLS first, the contact page is here.
A deal does not die at interest. It dies at due diligence. So the checking starts before the listing rather than after the handshake, and a listing that fails it never appears.
The company exists and the seller runs it
Certificate of incorporation, the CR14 naming the directors, and the share register showing who owns what.
The sale is authorised
A board or shareholder resolution authorising the disposal. Without it nobody on the page has the power to sell.
The tax position is current
A current ITF263 tax clearance, with its expiry date recorded, because a clearance that lapses before closing stalls the deal.
The figures come from accounts
Audited or management accounts, three years where they exist, checked against the turnover and profit the seller has given.
Verification is of the documents the seller supplied. It is not a valuation, an audit or a recommendation, and it does not replace your own due diligence. WLS will put you in front of a verified lawyer, conveyancer or forensic accountant to carry that out. The directory is here.
Selling one yourself?
US$500 a month however many businesses you carry, and a 5% success fee that falls due only at the close of the deal.
